This year, the Timiskaming Health Unit enhanced the provincial Driven to Quit Challenge 2010 by offering local prizes for participants in the Timiskaming area.

Congratulations to Chris Clarke of Temiskaming Shores, who took home the local grand prize of a new bicycle. Luc Paquette of Larder Lake and Michael Carston of Kirkland Lake each took home a grocery store gift card. The Timiskaming Health Unit saw its highest number of Driven to Quit registrants this year, with 114. We look forward to increasing the number of participants for 2011’s challenge.

Congratulations to everyone who participated. For those of you interested in cessation services, contact your local health unit.
